Business decision
Profit extraction, share changes, restructuring, a sale or succession question that needs the main tax routes identified.
A paid 60-minute meeting for a specific tax issue, transaction or decision. We review the information supplied, identify the material issues and explain the practical next step.
The proposition
The standard consultation is a paid 60-minute online meeting. The total booking price is £300. It is best suited to a question that can be framed clearly and discussed from a manageable set of background facts.
We review the concise information requested before the call, use the meeting to clarify material facts and explain the main tax issues, risks and practical routes. If the discussion reasonably runs beyond the scheduled hour, no additional meeting fee is charged for that overrun. An overrun does not extend the agreed scope or include further research, written advice or implementation.
Formal written advice, computations, HMRC clearances, legal documents, tax returns and implementation are not included unless the booking confirmation expressly says so. Any further work is optional and priced separately.
Good uses of the meeting
Profit extraction, share changes, restructuring, a sale or succession question that needs the main tax routes identified.
Ownership, incorporation, SDLT, capital gains or a portfolio decision before legal commitment.
Higher income, pensions, foreign income, residence, a capital gain or a complex Self Assessment issue.
An inheritance-tax planning question, trust or estate event, disclosure or HMRC letter requiring a first technical view.

Helpful detail
The complimentary initial call is a 15-minute suitability conversation and does not include substantive advice. The paid consultation is a 60-minute technical meeting in which a qualified adviser considers the supplied facts, explains the main issues and identifies next steps.
A reasonable overrun will not be charged as an additional meeting fee. It does not expand the agreed scope or include further research, written advice, calculations, filings or implementation, which would be scoped separately.
Any follow-on work is scoped and priced separately. If a credit is available for a particular engagement, it will be stated expressly in the proposal rather than assumed.
Not as part of the standard meeting unless the booking description expressly says otherwise. We may send a concise action note, but formal written advice, calculations, clearances and implementation are separate work.
Send a concise chronology, the exact question, relevant ownership or transaction details and key documents requested by us. Better advance information means more meeting time can be used for analysis.
No. Advice may depend on valuations, legal documents, historic records or specialist research. We will distinguish provisional observations from conclusions and explain any further work needed.
Usually, if their involvement is relevant and confidentiality, authority and conflict issues are addressed. Tell us who will attend when booking.
You may cancel for a full refund or reschedule once if you give at least 24 hours’ notice. Later cancellations and non-attendance are normally non-refundable, subject to consumer cancellation rights and the full Terms of Business shown before the calendar.
